New name

The name change is the consequence of legal demands from Mad Dogg Athletics Inc., the company that since 1992 has owned the registered trademark Spinning®, and in addition has registered Spinner® and Spin®. Their trademark registrations apply to instruction, fitness training, fitness equipment, video and audio, as well as all types of apparel.

Applicable international regulations mean that it is actually illegal for fitness centres to market “spinning” activities at their centres unless the following requirements are met: instructors at the centres are certified Spinning® instructors; the fitness centre uses Spinning® brand bicycles; and that the fitness centre is licensed to use the brand name Spinning®.

Our own website shall henceforth refer to “indoor bicycling” rather than “spinning”.

Since our company has a vision of offering training films with footage “from all over the world”, we deem Globeracer to be a descriptive name for our product. Along with our slogan “Challenge your body – inspire your mind”, which will remain an integral part of our new logo, we at Globeracer are ready to develop our exciting products in close, fruitful cooperation with our customers!
