(16.5.2007) Spinaway completed its production of a comprehensive new film project this April, in Hardanger, a famous region in Western Norway. The focus of this particular project was the winding scenic road from Jondal up to Folgefonna Summer Ski Centre, ascending from Krossdalen valley up to an elevation of 1000 metres above sea level.
A professional crew numbering 21 persons ensured the success of this new Spinaway production. Before filming commenced, the participating bicycle enthusiasts from Bergen Cykleklubb were briefed in detail about the director’s and cameraman’s requirements.
After a thorough exploration by helicopter of the film location, and comprehensive test shootings, the cameraman shot his scenes perched on the chopper. This striking footage will be edited into the upcoming Spinaway film – providing a new dimension and a heightened sense of adventure for spinners in participating fitness centres throughout Europe.
“From Fjord To Glacier” is the descriptive title of the new release, which is receiving its final editing and post-production polish this May. This immersive Spinaway film will take spinners on a challenging ride, from the lush spring-like surroundings by the Hardangerfjord up to the winter landscape of the glacier.
“Steep hills and stunning scenery are a combination designed to raise your pulse and provide an inspiring adrenal kick. We are very proud to release this film, which takes the Spinaway concept to a new level of cinematic adventure,” says Daniel Grant Stub, Managing Director and founder of Spinaway.
