(24.08.2008) At the second attempt, we succeeded in recording a new spinning film sequence in Blådalen (e.g. "Blue Valley"), above Dimmelsvik in Hardanger. Dimmelsvik is approximately 3 km from Rosendal, the popular tourist destination. The film was shot higher up in Blådalen, which is distinguished by dramatic landscapes and a hydroelectric dam.
During our first attempt at the same site earlier this summer, rain washed away our chances of capturing the film we wanted.
So the film crew was really eager to get the film in the can this time while the sun was still shining. Conditions for filming were perfect right up until it was time to start filming from the helicopter, when it seemed that our ration of sunshine was used up as the clouds came rolling in thick and fast. Despite the clouds, the filming was a great success – so we have a wealth of inspiring sequences for our next film.
This film is different from the previous ones as there is constant movement in the field, with riders attacking and riders being reeled in by the pack. We really must give the cyclists involved a big pat on the back for their input,” says Daniel Grant Stub of Spinaway AS.
The film will be launched at the start of September, so saddle up for the ride of your life over Blådalen, with inspiring music and images!
